Lauren & Jess

We are Jess & Lauren, co founders of REC on Demand, best friends and moms.

Fun fact? We went to high school together but only became friends when our husbands "set us up" as potential business partners over 15 years later!

We had both been at a crossroads in our professional lives and our main focus was our kids. We had done every type of class with them from birth and felt there was a lack of unique programming out there.

We had also attended countless birthday parties at that point and wanted to create more options for families to celebrate their children!

Our company was born as Le REC Room in 2015. Our goal had been to open in the Fall with a full schedule of kids classes, and to use the months prior to start to build hype with birthday parties. We hosted our own kids parties in April and May in our original "Ferrier Location" and before we knew it were booked through the summer for parties!

Our Fall Classes yielded similar success and were were officially off to the races!

Within 2 years we entered into a partnership with a local municipality and opened our Mini REC division, by the time COVID hit in 2020 we had over 40 classes running per week in daycares, elementary schools as well as our own two locations.

As we all did, in March 2020 we were forced to completely shut down everything.

As we watched our own kids, and all the kids around us struggling with online school, and no form of extra curricular activities or real socialization, we quickly veered and started running as many classes as we could online. Free pre recorded videos on YouTube, and custom classes and birthday parties over Zoom. We tested class styles, strategies to create interaction and engagement despite the barrier of the screens, and offered kids and parents alike some much needed reprieve from what we were all living.

Our goal was to give our clients whatever they wanted for their families.

Those wants were different for everyone.

It was at this point that we knew we had to rebrand completely to become who we are today; REC on Demand. A company focused on providing quality, holistic, programming for kids and quality experiences and connections for families. Kids tested and parent approved, our programs are safe, they are fun, they are educational, and they make people HAPPY.

By allowing kids to lead the way, not fighting against their natural inclinations but rather working with them we have been able to ensure that our kids are smiling, their parents feel great, and everybody wins.

We are beyond proud to say that we are back to running a full roster of classes with even more success than previously, birthday parties are back and booming, and our creative wheels are spinning with new projects on the horizon.

Join us as we spread the smiles for generations to come.

jeremy "coach pickle juice" rubin
coNCEPT CREATOR & PROGRAM DESIGNER

Better known as “Coach Pickle Juice”, Jeremy is one  of the most enigmatic people anyone has ever met!

The way that he sees the world is truly unique, outside of the box, and so very special.

Together with Jess and Lauren he built the philosophy on which REC on Demand is based and implemented it into every program offered, and trains all incoming staff on its principles.

Jeremy is the head instructor at REC on Demand, and his classes are often full within minutes when registration opens. The way Jeremy teaches children and parents alike is "unlike any other program out there" (direct quotes from his many clients)

Jeremy has created the concepts as well as designed many REC on Demand programs and trained other instructors to enable them to scale. Whether he is 1:! with someone, or leading a group of 50, his audience is always captivated.

He comes from an amazingly diverse athletic background (martial arts, skiing, gymnastics, hockey, volleyball just to name a few), and has been a strength and conditioning coach for over 20 years.

He is an entrepreneur, a manager to martial artists, a director of operations at a summer camp, a motivational speaker, and most proudly; a father.

He has worked with babies, professional athletes, kids/adults with special needs, physical disabilities and people with movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease giving them each their own customized an personalized experience but leaving them ALL  with the same feeling of accomplishing for them something that no one else ever could.

Jeremy is a motivator, a leader, and someone who inspires everyone who crosses his path. His aspiration is to continue to expand the reach of REC on Demands' philosophies in an effort to strengthen familial binds and connections, build our children into mentally and physically strong and confident adults, and to make sure that everyone knows that all of this IS, FUN!
